Henry van de Velde built this villa for Dr. Theodor Koerner Jr. (1882-1958). Like many commissions that he carried out in the last years of his Weimar career, Villa K�rner was more in keeping with the ideal of the bourgeois representative house than his first villa buildings. The floor plan and spatial structure are evidence of an architect who is now experienced in building villas.
